Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate documentation and report observations clearly
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Class: CNA) — Pennsylvania certification required or eligible
• Previous experience in direct resident care preferred but new grads welcome for per diem roles
• Comfortable working night shift hours (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA program and valid CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven ability to assist with ADLs and basic patient care
• Skilled in taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Good observational skills and ability to report changes promptly
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic charting and documentation practices
