Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret findings to guide clinical decisions
• Triaging patients and managing labor progression with clinical confidence
• Care for newborns in the nursery and participate in neonatal stabilization when needed
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient education clearly and timely
• Support patients and families with education, emotional support, and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• AHA ACLS required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• Basic Fetal Monitoring skills required
• Experience in triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn/nursery required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Previous experience in neonatal stabilization and GYN surgical care preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong labor and delivery nursing knowledge including postpartum and newborn care
• Proficiency in basic fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Neonatal stabilization skills and familiarity with STABLE principles
• Skilled in triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization of obstetric patients
• Comfortable with GYN surgical care environments
• Excellent communication, patient education, and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
