Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, night shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and fall prevention strategies
Document care accurately and timely in the patient chart
Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver excellent patient experiences

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Demonstrated ability to perform ADLs and basic patient care tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work evening/nigh shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient bathing, feeding, dressing, and toileting assistance
Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
Knowledge of infection prevention and basic wound care principles
Comfortable with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Reliable charting and documentation habits
Team-oriented with strong patient advocacy skills
