Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition
• Assist nursing staff with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate observations to the care team
• Support meal assistance and basic hygiene needs while preserving patient dignity
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth shift handoffs and continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; ability to work in Pennsylvania required
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Effective communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings a plus but not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Competence in basic nursing skills: vital signs, ADLs, feeding, toileting
• Familiarity with patient safety and infection control practices
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic charting basics
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
• Able to follow care plans and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and assisting patients during shifts
