Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
• Document patient interactions and care activities clearly and on time
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary staff to support care plans
• Support routine tasks such as feeding, hygiene, and positioning to promote dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania or eligible for state registry)
• State CNA registry in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift and reliably attend scheduled shifts
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and comfort measures
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with charting and electronic health record basics
• Good time management, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
