Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients with dignity and respect
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and positioning to promote patient comfort and reduce risk
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (valid for Pennsylvania practice)
• Active state-required licenses or certifications as applicable
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Dependable transportation to travel to the Gettysburg Center for shifts
• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude; teamwork mindset

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of patient-centered care and basic nursing procedures
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
• Ability to take and record vital signs and observe patient condition
• Knowledge of infection control standards and safe workplace practices
• Good documentation and communication skills with clinical staff
