Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for outpatient and acute inpatient patients
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions focused on functional improvement and patient-centered goals
• Manage an average caseload (about 8 patients/day) while maintaining high-quality care
• Accurately document treatment and progress in MatrixCare and adhere to department protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the rehab team to coordinate care and support safe transitions
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and long-term recovery
• Participate in department meetings, quality improvement efforts, and required orientations

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in North Dakota or eligible to obtain ND licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; outpatient, acute, or swing bed experience is a plus — we will train
• Comfortable with electronic charting; MatrixCare experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to complete facility onboarding requirements and background checks

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or other accredited degree in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Manual therapy techniques and functional mobility training
• Understanding of acute care and outpatient rehabilitation principles
• Proficient documentation and time management skills
• Experience with patient education and family-centered care approaches
• Familiarity with MatrixCare or similar EMR/charting systems
