Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and ventilator management for patients of all ages and acuity levels
• Perform cardiopulmonary assessments and diagnostic respiratory procedures accurately and efficiently
• Manage ventilators and complex critical care respiratory therapies with strong clinical judgment
• Deliver neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a Level 2 NICU setting when required
• Respond to on-call situations swiftly and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain thorough documentation, follow policies and protocols, and ensure patient safety at all times

Qualifications

• NBRC RRT required — CRT candidates will not be considered
• Current Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA) in good standing
• Current AHA/AAP certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP — all required
• Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program as required for licensure
• Minimum of 5 years of Respiratory Therapist experience; strong critical care/ventilator skills required
• Neonatal and pediatric experience including Level 2 NICU experience
• Traveler assignment experience and call coverage experience preferred

Education

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (as required for licensure)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ventilator management and advanced critical care therapies
• Strong cardiopulmonary assessment and diagnostic procedure skills
• Experience caring for neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations across acuity levels
• Ability to function autonomously during night shifts and while on-call
• Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
