Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly and implement timely, appropriate nursing interventions
• Develop and carry out individualized plans of care to achieve measurable outcomes
• Provide clear, compassionate patient and family education throughout the perioperative process
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, coordinated care
• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties as needed to support the OR team
• Maintain and demonstrate competency in stroke protocols and hyperacute stroke care when applicable
• Evaluate and continuously improve your nursing practice to align with professional standards and hospital policies
• Provide leadership in the clinical setting and contribute to peer development and unit quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; Associates degree or Diploma accepted
• American Heart Association BLS required
• American Heart Association ACLS required
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience
• Preferred: CNOR certification
• Preferred: 1 year circulating experience
• Preferred: 1 year scrub experience
• Willingness to participate in stroke competency education and annual updates
• Ability to work varied shifts and provide on-call coverage

Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing preferred; Associate degree or Nursing Diploma accepted
