Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical function and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapeutic interventions using exercise, manual techniques and modalities
• Use therapeutic modalities (heat, cold, air, light, water, electricity, sound) safely and effectively
• Collaborate with physicians, families and the care team to set meaningful rehab goals
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans to achieve functional outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and strategies to maintain gains
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment that prioritizes patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Physical Therapist licensure (required)
• Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program
• Current CPR certification (required)
• Valid Oregon driver’s license (required)
• Basic computer skills: documentation, email and electronic forms
• Experience in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation preferred

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (APTA-accredited)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of therapy procedures and rehabilitation practices
• Skilled in patient evaluation, treatment planning and therapeutic exercise
• Comfortable applying therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, water and electricity
• Strong communication, teamwork and patient-family education skills
• Ability to learn and use basic electronic medical record functions
