Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on the MST unit
• Monitor patient status and telemetry, recognizing changes and escalating appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document patient care thoroughly and communicate clearly with the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience or familiarity with med-surg/telemetry (MST) patient care preferred
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, and medication administration
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required immunizations
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Patient assessment and documentation in electronic health records
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Critical thinking and rapid clinical decision-making
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and handoff practices
