Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living with dignity and respect
• Provide safe, compassionate bedside care including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
• Support mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to ensure continuity of care
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active authorization to practice as a CNA in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain)
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
• Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused with strong communication skills
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with personal care and ADLs
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Strong observational skills to notice changes in condition
• Clear verbal communication and team collaboration
• Basic documentation skills and comfort learning facility charting systems
