Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes in condition promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lifts when required
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to support coordinated care
• Document care provided clearly and timely in the facility charting system
• Support residents’ emotional needs with patience, respect, and dignity

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active or eligible for PA state CNA listing/registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required depending on facility policy
• Comfortable working evenings (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and adaptable to per diem scheduling
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic nursing care
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Ability to take reliable vital signs and observe/report changes
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Teamwork and time management in a fast-paced care setting
