Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document residents' vital signs and daily condition changes accurately
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation and positioning to promote comfort and mobility
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team members about resident needs
• Support resident dignity and independence while delivering person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers, and basic clinical tasks
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and health requirements
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care fundamentals and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Understanding of infection prevention and basic hygiene protocols
• Ability to document care clearly and follow care plans
• Teamwork and time-management skills in a fast-paced care setting
• Basic proficiency with electronic or paper charting systems (training provided as needed)
