Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; exact start/end times and days to be provided by the facility

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support their daily living needs
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Accurately take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
Document resident care thoroughly and timely in the charting system
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus but not always required

Education

High school diploma or GED
State-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable with patient transfers, mobility assistance, and safe lifting techniques
Basic knowledge of vital signs, documentation best practices, and infection control
Strong observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
Good interpersonal skills to connect with residents and families
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced care team
