Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (varies), 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
Perform reliable patient observations and accurately record vital signs
Support safe patient transfers and mobility to prevent falls and injuries
Document care and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
Assist with meals, personal hygiene, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care that improves resident comfort

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico required
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings is a plus
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a patient-centered attitude

Education

Completion of an accredited CNA training program
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable with ADLs, transfers, and ambulation assistance
Accurate vital signs measurement and basic charting skills
Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
