Roles & Responsibilities

Cover athletic events and after-school activities at the local high school
Prevent, evaluate, and rehabilitate athletic injuries with hands-on care
Manage concussions from assessment to safe return-to-play
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and coaches
Document treatments and analyze injury root causes to prevent future issues
Provide occupational health services including POETs and functional assessments
Work as a physician extender in the orthopedic clinic
Coordinate event coverage and perform job-specific conditioning programs

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology
1+ years of related work experience
Current Athletic Trainer license by the state of Wisconsin
Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers
BLS certification
Valid driver's license

Education

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology required

Musculoskeletal examinations
Concussion evaluations
Emergency care
Occupational health
Exceptional interpersonal communication
Strong problem-solving skills
Intermediate to expert computer proficiency

Benefits
