Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility while following proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Support patient comfort and dignity through attentive, respectful interactions
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe environment and infection-control practices

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-accepted) — must meet facility credentialing requirements
• CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated experience in direct patient care or completion of a state-approved CNA program
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working night shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and patient care techniques
• Comfortable taking and charting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Good observational skills to notice changes in patient condition
• Ability to assist safely with transfers and mobility
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic documentation and charting competency
