Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and report changes to the care team promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients and families
• Document care accurately in the medical record and maintain clear communication
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure smooth transitions
• Monitor patient vitals and respond quickly to clinical changes
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current, valid LPN license (or RN if applying) — state licensure required or eligibility to obtain
• CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Previous clinical experience preferred (long-term care, med-surg or similar settings a plus)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or nursing program (diploma or practical nursing certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and basic clinical observation
• Medication administration and documentation
• Wound care basics and ADL assistance
• Electronic medical record charting
• Infection control and safety procedures
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
