Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and clinical status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
• Support infection prevention and safety protocols on the unit
• Educate patients and families with clear, respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN or RN license in Alabama (or compact RN license where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred for some roles
• Comfortable working night shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Team-player attitude, excellent communication, and reliability

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma, ASN, or BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and patient monitoring
• Skilled in documentation and electronic health record usage
• Ability to perform thorough head-to-toe assessments
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Strong time management, prioritization, and critical thinking
