Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities with dignity and respect
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
• Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Support rehabilitation activities and follow care plans developed by the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with team members and families
• Create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents at all times

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required) — you are credentialed and ready to provide hands-on care
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to geriatric care
• Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA / Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with basic resident care procedures and safety protocols
• Good communication skills for working with residents, families, and clinical teams
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
• Comfortable assisting with mobility, transfers, and fall-prevention strategies
• Attention to infection control and sanitation standards
