Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform timely assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes
• Document care clearly in the medical record and communicate handoffs
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support patient goals
• Respond promptly to emergencies and prioritize patient safety
• Support residents/patients with daily living needs and dignified care

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (LPN or RN candidates accepted)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight and independently during per diem shifts
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing program
• Required: Active state LPN or RN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Basic wound care and infection control principles
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced overnight environment
• Professional bedside manner and patient advocacy
