Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and compassion
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Monitor and document residents' vital signs and condition changes accurately
• Provide nutritious meal assistance and observe dietary needs during mealtimes
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and families about resident needs and concerns
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Respect resident rights and privacy while promoting independence and social engagement

Qualifications

• Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Background check and health screening clearance as required by facility
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
• Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary teams
