Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly
• Document patient care accurately in charts or electronic records
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver safe, consistent care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control standards
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and their families
• Respond to patient needs and call lights in a timely, professional manner

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working directly with patients
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and safe transfers
• Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Infection control and basic wound awareness
• Observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Basic charting and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
