Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility and transfers while promoting independence
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and resident status accurately
• Provide compassionate feeding assistance and meal support as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with infection control practices
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing team in a timely manner
• Document care thoroughly and respectfully in resident records
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, and patience to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) as required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Completion of a state-approved GNA training program
• Comfortable working day shifts and available for per diem assignments
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings

Education

• Completion of state-approved GNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with personal care and ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Resident-centered care and dementia-aware approaches
• Reliable documentation and time-management skills
• Empathy, patience, and effective communication with residents and families
