Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Provide safe, respectful, and person-centered care that supports independence
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in the assigned system
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Help maintain a clean, organized environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active/state-specific CNA license or eligibility to work as a CNA in Alabama
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained soon after hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including lifting and prolonged standing
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational nursing assistant skills: ADLs, transfers, feeding, and toileting
• Basic vital signs measurement and observational assessment
• Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
• Accurate documentation and time management
• Infection prevention and safe work practices
• Teamwork and collaboration within a multidisciplinary care setting
