Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals accurately and safely for diagnostic procedures
• Perform camera quality control and NRC-required daily and weekly QC to ensure imaging integrity
• Conduct general nuclear medicine imaging studies and assist with cardiac exams, including EKG preparation and monitoring
• Receive, document, and safely handle radioactive shipments in accordance with regulations
• Collaborate with clinical teams, float to other units as needed, and maintain clear patient communication
• Follow radiation safety procedures and maintain required documentation and compliance

Qualifications

• ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine (required)
• Minimum 3 years of Nuclear Medicine experience (as stated)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Active State of Hawaii license required by start of assignment (applicants not currently licensed must apply upon acceptance)
• Demonstrated competency in radiopharmaceutical preparation, camera QC, and NRC daily/weekly QC
• Ability to float to other units based on competency and licensure

Education

• ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine (certification required)
• BLS - American Heart Association

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiopharmaceutical preparation and handling
• Camera quality control procedures
• General nuclear medicine imaging techniques
• EKG preparation and monitoring for cardiac exams
• Radiation safety and NRC-required QC protocols
• Receiving and documenting radioactive shipments
• Experience with SIEMENS Dual Headed ECAM with ESOFT processing
• Familiarity with CAPTUS 3000 and NMISGE MAC 5000 equipment
