Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care in collaboration with neonatologists and the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in high-risk deliveries and perform advanced neonatal procedures when needed
- Lead clinical decision-making and manage individualized care plans for critically ill neonates
- Educate and support families through complex care journeys with compassion and clarity
- Engage in quality improvement and apply evidence-based practice to advance outcomes
- Coordinate care across pediatric subspecialties including surgery, cardiology and neurology
- Mentor and support new graduates and peers to grow clinical skills and confidence
- Commit to ongoing professional development to maintain high standards of neonatal care
Qualifications
- NNP Board Certification required (FNP, PNP or other NP certifications will not be accepted)
- Providers with 2+ years of NNP experience are highly preferred; new graduates are welcome and supported
- Not accepting locum tenens candidates
- Not accepting visa-sponsored candidates
- Active or eligible NNP licensure in the state where you will practice is expected
Education
- Graduate preparation as an NNP (master's, post-master's certificate, or DNP from an accredited program) and completion of an accredited NNP program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in neonatal care within a Level III NICU
- Experience with advanced neonatal procedures and high-risk deliveries
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills
- Comfort collaborating with pediatric subspecialties and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
- Ability to provide family-centered education and compassionate communication
- Mentorship and teaching skills to support new clinicians
