Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM; early start at 6:00 AM for open heart prep; call rotations weeknights and weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile field in CVOR suites for complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
Assist surgeons during open heart procedures including CABG, valve repairs, and aneurysms
Handle surgical instruments and equipment, including Stryker towers and robotic systems
Cross-train in general OR specialties to support low CV volumes
Float to floor as a 1:1 sitter when needed to supplement hours
Participate in call rotations including weeknights and weekends

Qualifications

2+ years of CVOR experience with open heart, CABG, and valve procedures
Ability to first scrub and handle complex cases independently
Willingness to cross-train to general OR and float to floor as needed
BLS, CST or NCCT, and ND UAP certifications required
Must pass background check and drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Proficiency in CVOR procedures including thoracotomies, VATS, and robotic-assisted surgeries
Familiarity with ECMO, Impella 5.5, and Stryker towers
Strong teamwork and communication skills in fast-paced environment
Adaptability to varying case volumes and floating requirements
