Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts with one weeknight call per week until 7:00 AM next morning and three 24-hour weekend call shifts per month

Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub independently for cranial procedures and neuro-trauma cases
• Assist with orthopedic trauma and total joint procedures in a Level II trauma setting
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedics, urology, ENT, and neurosurgery
• Collaborate with surgeons and the OR team to ensure patient safety and smooth case flow
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced surgical equipment including robotics and navigation systems
• Respond to call within 15 minutes when scheduled for weeknight or weekend coverage

Qualifications

• Current CST certification preferred but not required
• BLS certification required
• Strong experience scrubbing orthopedic trauma and total joint cases
• Ability to independently perform cranial procedures
• Comfortable taking neuro-trauma call and working in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to speak up about patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in scrubbing for cranial, orthopedic trauma, and total joint procedures
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system
• Experience with DaVinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis navigation
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR protocols
• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload of approximately 18 cases per day
