Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across antepartum, triage, labor, postpartum, and newborn stages
Monitor and manage common drips including Pitocin, insulin, fluids, and antibiotics
Collaborate with the charge nurse to ensure safe patient ratios of 1:2
Support mothers and newborns through every stage of the birthing journey
Document care accurately using Alaris IV pumps and electronic systems

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of labor and delivery experience
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of antepartum, labor, postpartum, and newborn care
Comfortable managing Pitocin, insulin, fluids, and antibiotic drips
Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps
Ability to work every third weekend and adapt to unit needs
