Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-30-2026

End Date: 08-29-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Develop personalized treatment plans for post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Provide expert physical therapy interventions to help patients regain mobility and independence
Document progress and communicate effectively with physicians and care teams

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working with diverse patient populations including TKA, THA, CVA, and general ortho cases

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
Ability to manage a fast-paced inpatient caseload
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to cover multiple hospital departments
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
