Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD on a busy 18-bed telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips to ensure patient safety
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to deliver excellent outcomes
Support patients using CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
Float to other med/surg units as needed while maintaining top-notch care standards
Build meaningful connections with patients and families through great communication and time management

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact license
BLS certification required
Strong communication and time-management skills
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Comfortable floating to multiple med/surg units

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Managing patients with CHF, diabetes, PNA, and CKD
Working with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment
Collaborating with PCTs and interdisciplinary teams
Adapting quickly to different med/surg environments
