Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a mixed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions using ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring skills
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to similar-level units while maintaining excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to ensure every patient feels supported

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
First-time travelers welcome
Valid driver's license required at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology care
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
ICP monitoring and titration of drips such as insulin and cardizem
EPIC EMR experience within the last 6 months preferred
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and patient advocacy skills
