Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU
Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient changes
Manage arterial lines and support patients requiring high-flow oxygen therapy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient experiences
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Champion patient education, medication communication, and responsiveness scores

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call status
Valid driver's license for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac medication and surgical patient care
Dialysis, vascular, sepsis, stroke, and respiratory patient management
Titration of critical drips and insulin protocols
Team collaboration and adaptability
Clear communication across diverse cultural populations
