Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Interpret telemetry strips and document findings at least once per shift
Monitor and manage patients on set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to ensure seamless unit operations
Support patients recovering from total joint replacements with specialized care protocols
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to deliver flexible, high-quality nursing support

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry strip interpretation
Basic cardiac monitoring
Patient assessment and documentation
Cerner electronic health record system
Total joint replacement post-operative care
