Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly report significant changes
Perform thorough assessments and document findings in the medical record
Administer medications and IV therapies safely and according to policy
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate care
Educate patients and families about condition, treatment and discharge planning
Respond quickly to emergencies and escalate concerns when needed

Qualifications

Active California RN license required
Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
Telemetry experience preferred; confident with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to varying schedules
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Associate's or Bachelor's in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm recognition
Skilled in patient assessment and clinical decision-making
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
