Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned night shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and report significant changes promptly
• Administer medications accurately and document treatment per policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Maintain timely, accurate electronic charting and handoffs
• Support patients and families with clear communication and education
• Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and facility protocols

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license (appropriate to the role) in New Mexico or compact-license eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma/associate/BSN as applicable to licensure)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment, vital signs, and condition monitoring
• Experience with medication administration and documentation practices
• Familiarity with wound care, IV basics (as applicable), and common nursing procedures
• Competent with electronic medical record (EMR) charting and handoff processes
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking in a fast-paced setting
• Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
