Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the MST unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and clinical data to keep patients safe
• Administer medications and IV therapies accurately and on time
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the EMR
• Support patients and families with education, empathy, and resources
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Uphold infection control and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Experience working on MST, med-surg, or telemetry units preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable with per diem scheduling and flexible assignments
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or equivalent
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Medication administration and IV management
• Clinical assessment and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Patient education and family-centered care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
