Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support while maintaining dignity
• Take and record vital signs, and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration
• Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and communicate with the care team
• Help create a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for older adults

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Valid state-required clearances and immunizations as applicable
• Previous experience working with older adults or in long-term care is a plus
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved GNA program or equivalent certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe resident handling techniques
• Knowledge of infection control and basic safety procedures
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Good documentation skills and clear communication with nursing staff
• Patience, empathy, and strong observational skills
