Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the ICU with keen clinical judgment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and titrated drips safely and accurately
• Manage ventilators and advanced life support equipment as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and update individualized care plans
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient status and participate in emergency interventions
• Document thorough, timely patient care in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families with clarity and compassion about care and recovery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — California licensure or the ability to obtain it is preferred
• ICU clinical experience and comfort with critical care workflows
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Current ACLS/BLS certifications or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to work per-diem assignments, including single-day coverage
• Clean background check and health/immunization verification as required

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking in high-acuity settings
• Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Medication administration including vasoactive drips and titrations
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced ICU environment
