Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (night shift; days vary and are scheduled as needed)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Support safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning of patients
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
Accurately document care, observations, and vital signs
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and visitors
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in the state of New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working night shifts and adapting to per diem schedules
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Prior experience as a CNA is preferred but dedicated new grads who meet certification requirements are welcome

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Good charting and documentation practices
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
