Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate postpartum care to high-risk mothers and couplets
- Monitor vital signs using Welch Allyn machines and CPN monitors
- Support breastfeeding and manage postpartum hemorrhage
- Assist with circumcisions and hypertension assessments
- Deliver POC glucose monitoring and nursery support
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years acute care hospital postpartum experience
- Active BLS and NRP certifications required
- High-risk postpartum or Level 2 Nursery experience preferred
Education
- RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Postpartum hospital expertise
- Breastfeeding support techniques
- Postpartum hemorrhage management
- Hypertension assessment and care
- Team collaboration in fast-paced units
