Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and deliver high-quality telemetry care for adult and geriatric patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and cardiac drips to support timely, safe interventions
• Provide post-operative nursing care and effective pain/symptom management for surgical patients
• Maintain professional nursing standards and ensure compliance with facility policies and best practices
• Supervise and collaborate with CNAs/SNAs and other health care workers to ensure efficient, safe patient care
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care and positive patient outcomes
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate documentation, handoffs, and care coordination

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience (required)
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license at time of submission (required)
• BLS/CPR (AHA) current (required)
• ACLS (AHA) current (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Current Staffing Agency IL Nurse Agency Certificate documentation (required for traveler submissions)
• Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (required)
• Proven experience reading monitors, managing cardiac drips, and caring for post-surgical adult and geriatric patients

Education

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required (educational degree not specified in posting)

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring interpretation
• Medical-surgical nursing best practices
• Post-operative patient care and monitoring
• Management of cardiac drips and acute cardiac events
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
