Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced PCU unit
Monitor and titrate IV drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Care for patients with cardiac conditions, nephrology issues, strokes, and diabetes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and assess neurological status
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license for distance verification
At least 2 years of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titration of cardiac and seizure medications
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Experience with continuous EEG monitoring and stroke care
