Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-risk OB unit
Circulate in the OR during cesarean sections and assist with deliveries
Perform normal newborn assessments and routine baby care
Float to postpartum to care for both mothers and infants as needed
Titrate IV drips including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and pain medications
Collaborate with a supportive team of physicians, residents, and CRNAs

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Valid driver's license (required at submittal)
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred
Ability to circulate in the OR and perform newborn assessments

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of obstetrical nursing and fetal monitoring (Obix EFM)
Proficiency in circulating for C-sections and assisting with deliveries
Experience with high-risk OB patients and titrating IV medications
Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability
Comfortable floating to postpartum and providing care to both mom and baby
