Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM / 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions, including post-surgical recovery
Monitor, titrate, and manage drips such as amiodarone, nitro, nicardipine, and epinephrine
Interpret telemetry strips and collaborate with remote monitoring techs
Work closely with intensivists, hospitalists, and cardiologists in a team setting
Float to same-level or lower-acuity units as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience with CVU or similar cardiac patient population
Active RN license (Nebraska or compact state)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to comply with artificial nail policy (no artificial nails in patient care areas)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac drip titration and blood pressure management
Telemetry strip interpretation and rhythm recognition
Intermediate care and post-CVICU patient management
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Adaptability to float and work in a fast-paced environment
