Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide acute care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, including cardiac caths, EP studies, and pacemaker patients
Monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure timely interventions
Titrate drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, and Lasix with precision
Care for patients with pneumonia, COVID, influenza, sepsis, and acute-on-chronic conditions
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Float to PCU or medical-surgical units as needed to support full patient load

Qualifications

Current RN license in good standing
BLS and ACLS certifications required
At least 1 year of PCU/telemetry experience
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
Comfortable titrating cardiac drips
Epic experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac care knowledge including arrhythmia recognition
Experience with cardiac drips and titration
Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Patient assessment and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record (preferred)
