Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of laboratory tests as a generalist, ensuring accurate and timely results
Conduct venipuncture and specimen collection on rare occasions when needed
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including EPIC Beaker system
Follow strict quality control and safety protocols to maintain lab standards
Collaborate with healthcare team to provide optimal patient care
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to stay current with best practices

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Generalist in a clinical laboratory setting
Certified as MLT or MT (or MLS) required
BLS certification preferred (may be required if performing patient contact)
Proficiency in EPIC and EPIC Beaker LIS systems
Ability to perform phlebotomy on rare occasions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Knowledge & Skills

Generalist laboratory skills across multiple departments
Expertise in EPIC Beaker and other LIS systems
Understanding of quality control and lab safety
Phlebotomy skills for occasional draws
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments
