Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate nursing care to cardiovascular patients, including those downgraded from CVICU
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms independently
Titrate drips such as amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, and cardizem to manage blood pressure
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience with this cardiovascular patient population
Valid driver's license (required for submittal and radius verification)
Willingness to adhere to facility policies, including no artificial nails

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiovascular nursing and telemetry monitoring
Proficiency in drip titration for blood pressure and cardiac medications
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and 12-lead EKGs
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
